The art of coloring is a simple joy. All you need is a coloring book and your choice of tools. From here you can immerse yourself fully into the craft without agonizing about what to make, how to read the pattern, and how will it turn out? Coloring is a a form of meditation. There is something truly hypnotizing that happens with you sit down with a fresh box of pencil crayons, choose the color that jumps out at you and begin your journey into the page. Time loses its grip on the mind and enables the color-er to become present in the moment, in the line and in the color gliding onto the paper.
Often at times, the trip starts at the airport with excited and maybe nervous children preparing for what may be their first time on an airplane. Thankfully, most airlines will allow pre-boarding for families with young children to avoid the crush of the regular boarding call. Arriving at the airport in plenty of time to familiarize your children with the airport processes will help and will allow also allow them some time to explore the airport. Regardless of if you are traveling by air or by car, always remember to pack snacks, drinks, books and other attention holders to avoid the dreaded, "Im bored" complaints. An extra change of clothes also helps in the event of any travel related illnesses.
The repetitive, low-stress, and "no brainer" act of color lends itself to relaxation. The calming effects not only helps to reduce stress levels, but also can help to bring you back to your youth. The awesome part is that anyone can do it will no skill set required! Grab a crayon and you are good to go. You can make it even more enjoyable and have your kids or grandkids color with you. Coloring in pages that are specific for coloring. I have found a few websites that have pages to color that are downloadable. You can also try a resource store for teachers. These specific pages for coloring are pictures or drawings of a variety of design that you alone enjoy. You can make your own coloring book with these pages. After coloring the designs you can write your own narrative about how you feel. Write how the design itself and the colors you used relieved your stress. Adult coloring books are all the buzz of late. It is clear that it revolves around colored pencils or crayons and coloring pages. But, it is just coloring, right? How can something like staying within the lines be a benefit to me? I grew up during the time of doodle art - remember those? You got a pack of felt markers and elaborate black line drawings on a number of themes. I would spend hours coloring these in! Little did I know then that coloring pages were a benefit to my well-being.

Additionally by informing the hotel that you are traveling with small children, many downtown and airport properties will offer complimentary cribs, playpens, high chairs, and in some cases upgrades to larger rooms for additional space and free or discount meals. Family vacations create lasting memories for years to come, and the ability to spend time with our children while they are young is invaluable. Ensure your travels are stress free so you can spend the days enjoying your time together without the added hassles.
This will help them to not only recognize different colors but to also learn the names of the different colors. Developing these skills will help in later development too as your child begins to learn to read and write. He or she can then learn how to write the names of all of the different colors. You see learning is progressive and incremental - it happens in stages. Step-by-step as I have described. This is the true beauty of learning...the more that your child puts in, the more they will get out of learning. As their knowledge grows, so will their interest in a range of different subjects.
I was 20 years old when my love affair with coloring was re-ignited. Just about to fly home on a 14 hour flight from New Zealand, I was in the airport book store looking for a magazine to pass some hours when my eye was caught by an intriguing looking coloring book. I thought to myself: 14 hour flight....why not try coloring? Armed with a box of pencil crayons and not really expecting my interest to last long, I fastened my seat belt as the plane began its take-off. Thinking full well that the coloring would only last a few minutes before I was lured into the mega-selection of in-flight movies, I was curiously surprised when 30 minutes passed...then an hour...and then 2 hours and I had not even checkout out the movie selection! I had finished my first page in my brand new coloring book and still had 12 hours of flying time left. The rest of the flight passed quickly and gloriously. My love for coloring has only deepened, and here are the reasons why.
